Holidays in the mountains

During your Val Venosta holidays in the mountains you shouldn’t miss the Stelvio National Park, the highest park in Europe. It was one of the first Italian protected areas, located among South Tyrol, Trentino and Lombardy; it was founded in 1935 and it’s still nowadays a wonderful example of how man and nature can co-exist with no harm. Your holidays in the mountains here will be characterized by trekking, guided tours, exhibition in the visitors’ centers. In the national park you can see the following animals: foxes, ground squirrels, deer, chamois, ibexes … the bird watching fans can also observe eagles, common buzzards, falcons, little owls, sparrowhawks and the very rare bearded vulture.
