Val Venosta
Val Venosta (German Vinschgau, Ladin Val Venusta) is the westernmost valley in South Tyrol. It’s famous for its fruit; this valley produces very tasty apples, strawberries and apricots. It can seem strange, in a mountain region… but not everyone knows that Val Venosta is the driest region in South Tyrol. It started to be very popular for summer and winter holidays in the mountains; its farmhouses are very famous thanks to their comfort level. Another attraction is the Resia lake, few kilometers far from the Austrian border. The most important town in Val Venosta is Silandro; the other mountain resorts are: Malles Venosta, Glorenza, Sluderno, Lasa, Martello, Laces, Castelbello-Ciardes.
